Privacy Principle
Use only what supports the service
We collect the information needed to create accounts, process orders, communicate updates, and deliver finished print products and customer support.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what Artelyx Studios collects, how we use it, where it may be stored, and how it supports customer ordering, internal catalog operations, and connected services such as Google Drive.
Privacy Principle
We collect the information needed to create accounts, process orders, communicate updates, and deliver finished print products and customer support.
Privacy Principle
Uploaded images, collection assets, previews, and production files are handled as operational content for previewing, production, catalog management, and fulfillment.
Privacy Principle
We rely on specialist infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, communication, authentication, and payment processing instead of building those systems from scratch.
Quick Summary
Artelyx collects the customer and operational information needed to run its print business, support uploads, process payments, and manage its internal catalog. Some internal catalog masters may be stored in Google Drive, while previews and derivative files may be stored on Artelyx infrastructure and partner services.
Policy Section
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, account details, uploaded images or artwork, order notes, delivery information, payment-related transaction references, and support or communication history.
When you use the website or portal, we may also collect operational data such as device, browser, session, request, and usage records needed to keep the service secure and working properly.
Policy Section
We use information to create and manage customer accounts, validate sessions, prepare image previews, produce and fulfill orders, communicate order updates, respond to support requests, improve workflows, prevent misuse, and keep records for operational, legal, and accounting purposes.
Where needed for internal operations, uploaded images may also be processed to create previews, planner derivatives, sizing metadata, print-ready files, or internal descriptive tags.
Policy Section
Customer-uploaded files are used to generate previews, support planning and ordering, and produce the final print product. Internal catalog master assets uploaded by authorized Artelyx team members may also be stored and organized for collection management and print production.
Artelyx uses Google Drive for long-term storage of certain catalog master assets, while previews, planner derivatives, and related operational metadata may be stored on other infrastructure used by the service.
Policy Section
When Artelyx connects to Google Drive, that access is used to create, store, organize, verify, and retrieve catalog master assets required for internal collection and production workflows.
We do not use Google Drive access to read unrelated files from a person's Drive for advertising purposes. Access is limited to the storage and management functions needed for the Artelyx catalog workflow.
Policy Section
Payment-related steps may be handled through providers such as M-PESA and Kopo Kopo. We may also use email, SMS, or WhatsApp integrations to send confirmations, support messages, delivery updates, and assisted large-file instructions.
We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status updates, delivery confirmations, and communication logs from those providers so we can complete and support your order.
Policy Section
Depending on the workflow, Artelyx may use providers for hosting, storage, authentication, image processing, messaging, email delivery, payments, and operational support. These providers process information on our behalf under their own service terms and security controls.
Examples within the Artelyx workflow may include Supabase, Google Drive, WhatsApp, Africa's Talking, Resend, M-PESA, Kopo Kopo, and other production or infrastructure providers we use to operate the service.
Policy Section
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed for account management, catalog operations, production, fulfillment, support, dispute resolution, legal compliance, internal record keeping, or business continuity.
Some artwork, previews, production files, and transaction records may be retained after an order is completed where needed for reprints, order history, internal audit trails, or operational recovery.
Policy Section
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that Artelyx controls, subject to legal, contractual, operational, or security limitations. You may also ask us to update your contact details or account profile information.
If Google Drive access has been granted for Artelyx operations, that access can also be revoked from the relevant Google account security settings, although revocation may interrupt connected storage workflows until new authorization is provided.
Policy Section
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational measures to protect information, but no method of online storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Access to internal catalog and operational tools is restricted to authorized personnel and systems used to operate the Artelyx service.

Policy Section
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, vendor changes, or operational improvements. The latest version published on this page is the version that applies going forward.
